All-season Road Construction Underway

Slow Down when Approaching Workers and Equipment While Driving on Winter Roads

The East Side Road Authority (ESRA) is advising all drivers that during the upcoming winter road season, construction will be underway to replace seasonal winter roads with an all-season road network on the east side of Lake Winnipeg. All drivers are advised to slow down and use caution when approaching construction workers and equipment while driving on winter roads.

As construction proceeds, crews and heavy equipment will be on or near winter roads at any, and, all times.

Along PR 304 to Bloodvein First Nation (KM 0 to KM 85), construction can be expected:

  • Wanipigow River Bridge from PR 304 to KM 1
  • Loon Creek from KM 53 to 54
  • Bloodvein River from KM 77 to 78
  • Longbody Creek from KM 84 to Km 85
  • North of Longbody Creek from KM 88 to KM 93
  • Brush Clearing from KM 1 to KM 67, KM 88 to KM 141

North of Bloodvein (KM 0), construction sites include:

  • North of Longbody Creek from KM 3 to KM 8
  • Brush Clearing from KM 3 to KM 56

Farther north, drivers can expect construction workers and equipment at:

  • Mainland River Bridge
  • Red Sucker River Bridge

For your safety and the safety of construction workers, please slow down, follow all signs, and use caution when approaching construction workers and equipment while driving on the winter roads.
